Overview
In-house development of evaluation, control, and test equipment for engines and motors. Dynamometers, electronic fuel injection (FI) and common-rail systems, combustion visualization systems, chassis dynamometers, and custom test rigs are all designed and manufactured from scratch — including control panel design and fabrication. Build-to-order (BTO) is the standard approach. Rather than mass-production equipment, the focus is squarely on low-volume, custom, and research applications for universities, colleges of technology, research institutions, and educational use. Clients can also commission low-cost evaluation systems built around the reuse of existing equipment.
Technical Features
- Dynamometers: Water-cooled eddy-current type (7.35 kW and 37 kW models), air-cooled eddy-current type (1 kW model), water-cooled powder-brake type (for low-speed use, up to ~250 rpm class), and AC motor type (minimal braking heat, high-precision measurement when paired with a torque meter). Options include a dog clutch for load disconnection during operation and high-speed motoring (up to 7,200/10,000 rpm). Standard Windows software handles data acquisition, display, storage, and printing. Retrofit PC-based processing for existing dynamometers is also available.
- Electronic Fuel Injection (FI): Complete FI systems including ECU, crank/cam sensors, and throttle body. Suitable for 2-stroke/4-stroke, 2-wheel/4-wheel, and both legacy and current engines. Supercharging options and ignition/injection timing control units are available.
- Common-Rail Diesel Systems: Electronically controlled direct-injection (common-rail) systems for research and educational use, supporting multiple injection events. Delivered as a fully integrated system including dynamometer and instrumentation. Track record includes fabrication of ultra-high-pressure common rails exceeding 300 MPa.
- Combustion Visualization & RCEM: A Rapid Compression and Expansion Machine (RCEM) performs a single compression-combustion event at any chosen timing, enabling measurements free from residual-gas effects. Supports gaseous fuels and four-point ignition control. Combustion visualization via borescope fitted to a standard engine. Combustion pressure sensors can be added as a dynamometer option.
- Chassis Dynamometers: Portable units covering a wide range of applications — fuel-economy competition (eco-run) vehicles (1 kW to 5 kW class, eddy-current and powder-brake types), mini-bikes, student formula cars, small electric vehicles (maximum absorption 3 kW / 50 km/h), and wheelchairs.
- Hydrogen Engine Research Support: Fabrication of hydrogen direct-injection cylinder heads and hydrogen-compatible injectors and drivers. Using readily available components and practical system configurations, the offering supports measurement, control, and operation aimed at suppressing abnormal combustion (backfire) and stabilizing output.
- High-Pressure Hydraulic Test Equipment: Cyclic test rigs rated at 30–180 MPa and hydraulic pump units up to 180 MPa (working fluid: diesel fuel).
Intended Applications
- Laboratory and student experiment use at universities, colleges of technology, and technical high schools — including FI-equipped general-purpose engine dynamometers and visualization engines.
- Combustion research and measurement: analysis of compression and combustion processes using RCEM and combustion pressure sensors.
- Next-generation fuel research: evaluation of hydrogen direct injection, biogas, and common-rail diesel.
- Measurement and control for fuel-economy competitions (eco-run) and student formula events.
- Performance evaluation of industrial engines and electric auxiliaries; custom test equipment.
