Overview
Design and manufacture of power wirewound resistors and load resistance units (load testers and dummy loads) based on them. The core product line consists of JIS-compliant resistors in which resistance wire is wound on a porcelain tube and coated with either non-combustible paint or a metal-clad enclosure, covering a broad power range from 5 W to 1 kW. Target markets include power and heavy electrical equipment sectors such as power supply units, railway rolling stock, wind power generation, and solar power generation. In addition to supplying individual resistors, the company offers one-stop service encompassing design, form-factor proposal, and assembly, as well as the design and manufacture of custom load units for specific applications. ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 certified.
Technical Features
- Basic wirewound resistor construction: Resistance wire wound on a porcelain tube with an applied coating. Available in fixed, semi-adjustable, and variable configurations. RoHS compliant.
- Non-combustible paint-coated type: The successor to vitreous enamel-coated resistors, using a non-combustible paint coating. Standard products cover rated power from 5 W to 1 kW in multiple steps (5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 750, 1000 W, etc.), with resistance values set according to the power rating. Two characteristic series are available: standard and an alternative with a different resistance value range.
- Metal-clad wirewound type: Enclosed in a metal case for chassis-mount installation. Standard products range from 10 W to 200 W; high-power variants reach 100 W to 500 W class. Excellent short-term overload and temperature characteristics. A non-inductive winding type with improved frequency response is also available. Resistance range is approximately 0.02 Ω to 80 kΩ depending on the model.
- Diverse product series: Power type, adjustable type, intermediate-tap type, high-power ribbon type, base-terminal type, flat type, axial-terminal cement type, precision metal-clad type, general-purpose power shunt, and more.
- Load resistance units: Used for power generation control load testing, fuel cell load testing, battery and lithium battery discharge testing, wind and solar power generation testing, and power supply dummy loads. Available in three formats: standard load units, rental units (AC simulated resistive load units and variable load resistors), and custom-designed units.
- Custom load unit track record: Design and manufacture to application-specific form factors and specifications, including units for high-voltage relay inspection, variable loads for hydrogen generator testing, generator control, power generation element simulation testing, and transformer inspection.
