Overview
An IoT system that monitors the growing environment and nutrient solution status in hydroponic cultivation and automatically controls water quality. The system measures temperature, humidity, and CO₂ in the growing space, as well as water level, water temperature, EC (electrical conductivity), and pH of the nutrient solution, automatically injecting solution as conditions require. All measurement data is aggregated in the cloud and can be monitored remotely via a dedicated app.
Technical Features
- Integrated environment and nutrient solution monitoring: A single system captures both growing-space environmental values (temperature, humidity, CO₂) and nutrient solution status (water level, water temperature, EC, pH).
- Closed-loop water quality control: Nutrient solution status is compared against target ranges, and any shortfall is corrected by automatic injection in a closed-loop control scheme.
- Cloud aggregation and remote monitoring: Measurement data is aggregated on a cloud platform (AWS serverless architecture) and monitored remotely via app.
- Vertically integrated development: A single system developed with full vertical integration—from PCB design and enclosure design (3D CAD) through to the cloud platform. Measurement and control hardware is based on Raspberry Pi / Arduino.
